Do you struggle to find relevant information for your poultry enterprise? The Welsh Poultry Centre is an information resource for small to medium sized commercial, outdoor poultry producers around the world who are looking for better ways to produce, process and market their poultry products, be it eggs or meat.

Here at the Welsh Poultry Centre we can provide training and advice on all aspects of commercial poultry keeping including:

• setting up and planning your free-range or organic poultry farm enterprise, 
• ongoing issues relating to running a commercial poultry enterprise, 
• setting up a small scale abbatoir and poultry processing unit, 
• setting up egg packing units
• marketing your free range eggs or meat from the farm gate, 
• marketing through farmers’ markets
• marketing to butchers and retail outlets
• marketing to wholesalers.

• You can take out an email support contract with Steve Merritt giving you full technical support over a 12 month period.
• If you’re in Wales and thinking of converting to organic production of poultry talk to Steve Merritt 0795 625 6278 about the Welsh Assembly funded Organic Conversion Information Service.  You may be able to get free advice.
• If you need marketing support such as running e-newsletter campaigns, developing promotions for your farm shop or farmers’ market pitches, contact Juliet Fay 07904 730 092 for a quote.

• If you need a speaker on developing local markets for your produce, Juliet Fay is available to deliver presentations within Wales.
